Vintage CHANEL Small Supermodel Tote Black Lambskin & 24K Gold-Plated Hardware

Stunning and eye-catching vintage CHANEL.

The Supermodel Tote earned its nickname from the story that 1990s supermodels carried the oversized version to castings, using its generous compartments for clothing, makeup and shoes. The design has also been seen on celebrities including Rachel Zoe, Kate Hudson and Miley Cyrus. Its leather-woven chain straps allow it to be worn comfortably on the shoulder, crossbody bag or just as handbag.

CHANEL has since revisited similar oversized CC and quilted tote silhouettes in newer collections, making this original vintage version feel remarkably current. However, modern interpretations no longer feature the same 24K gold-plated hardware, giving this piece a character and richness that belong to a very special era of CHANEL.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. The lambskin remains beautifully presented with only light rubbing to the corners and a few small surface scratches, which are hardly noticeable unless examined closely. The bottom lining of the interior has previously been replaced, allowing the interior to remain clean and practical. The bag retains an attractive structure with gentle vintage softness consistent with its age.
